Seasonal entertainment from talented Isle of Wight singers and musicians has been getting Wightlink’s customers into the Christmas spirit during their crossings between Portsmouth and Fishbourne.
This year’s entertainers were the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra string quartet and solo viola player Andy Hicks, the Wight Notes Choir (part of Fusion Arts Academy) and The Way Forward choir.
Phil Delaney, Commercial Director at Wightlink, says:
“This has become a Christmas tradition.
“The groups enjoy performing on our ferries and it’s a treat for our customers.”
All the groups and individuals performing onboard are sponsored by the ferry company.
The Wightlink in the Community sponsorship initiative focuses on helping groups that enhance the quality of life for people on the Isle of Wight, especially young Islanders. It currently provides discounted travel to 45 groups.
