Wightlink is the latest cross-Solent operator to be hit by technical issues, which has resulted in the cancellation of a number of sailings on its Yarmouth-Lymington route today (Saturday). It’s said that the 15:00 and 17:00 timetabled sailings from Lymington, and the 16:05 and 18:05 from Yarmouth, have been cancelled. Customers have blasted the company for a lack of communication today with no texts, tweets or website updates when the 11:00 from Lymington – and 12:05 from Yarmouth return crossing – were also cancelled earlier on today. The 07:00 from Yarmouth was delayed by between 30-40 minutes this morning due to a generator fault. Wightlink apologises for the changes to your travel plans.
