West Wight Men in Sheds have received a much-needed technology upgrade after appealing for help to replace their outdated computer equipment.
The group, which promotes social inclusion by providing a safe, friendly space for creative, recreational and physical activities, had been struggling with ageing tech that was limiting their capabilities.
Members of Men in Sheds meet regularly to share skills, build confidence, and support each other socially and mentally. They are also active in the local community, assisting with repairs and maintenance projects that benefit the wider West Wight area.
In response to the group’s appeal, FYTCIC donated a higher performance laptop. The device was then recycled and upgraded by a local computer specialist to meet the group’s needs.
The new equipment will support the group in coordinating activities, maintaining records and engaging with wider community initiatives more efficiently.
