WELCOME TO THE NEW ISLAND ECHO

Welcome to the new Island Echo website! This isn’t just a change in design, but a change in how you access news from across the Isle of Wight, wherever you are, 24 hours a day.

We’ve listened to our readers and implemented some changes to make accessing the Island’s news source that much easier. This includes a fully-responsive design, which of course means no more pinching and zooming on mobile devices.

As well as larger photographs, video embedding and easier social sharing this new website is quicker, more stable and allows us to think outside of the box that little bit more. Everything has changed for the better, even down to the smallest of font changes. It also brings new advertising opportunities for Island businesses such as the site takeover seen over the past 7 days (cue the inline ad if reading this on a mobile device!)

You will see that the general structure of Island Echo remains the same – breaking news; latest news; community news; events and sport – but this is now delivered in a more modern, easier-to-read format. Be sure to check out our ‘useful information’ pages which have also been updated.

We will of course be continuing to deliver the latest Island news around the clock and have a number of additional features in the pipeline. In the meantime if you have any feedback or suggestions please do not hesitate to email us on [email protected].

Here is a little reminder of the news stories we have covered over the past 4 years and how quickly we deliver Island news to you, our valued reader… Thank you for your continued support
