Adults at The Way Forward Programme are to take to the stage when they perform their summer show at Medina Theatre in June.
The Way Forward Programme is a day centre based in Newport that supports adults with additional needs, with the aim to better their day-to-day life skills, social skills and creativity.
Twice a year they put on a magnificent, show-stopping performance, for their friends and family. The 30+ performing arts cast rehearse for 6 months towards their summer and Christmas extravaganzas and work hard to put on a show for the whole community.
This summer’s show ‘Annie and Oliver, The Adventure’ is all about combining two classic stories and two big characters who now live in the same orphanage. Oliver and Annie are ready to do anything to make their dreams come true. Join the Way Forward on this adventure with all your favourite songs as well as some added extras as we follow Oliver and Annie on an adventure of a lifetime
Francesca Maretic from The Way Forward Programme has said:
“We can’t express what it would mean to our customers if we had a full house on the night of the show, they work so hard for 6 months to put on these shows twice a year and the more audience members we have the more they thrive off the performance!
“All the money raised from ticket sales goes towards buying and making props and costumes for future shows.”
Annie and Oliver The Adventure will be performed at Medina Theatre on June 2nd at 18:45. Tickets can be bought on Medina Theatre website or from the theatre’s box office directly.
