As part of a successful grant application, Waterside Pool was able to purchase over 300 saplings, some of which were planted at Waterside, with the rest being distributed to local schools to plant and grow on their school grounds.
Todd Miller the General Manager applied for the grant in an effort to improve the local wildlife, air quality and as a way of giving back to the schools that support the centre.
The schools involved in the project were Wootton, Godshill, Five Ways, Queensgate, St Mary’s, Haylands, Brading, Ryde School and Greenmount.
That means they’ll all grow up together
