Motorists are being warned of icy stretches on the Island’s roads overnight into Thursday morning.
IW Met Service says temperatures will drop away overnight with some spots falling to – or even slightly below – freezing.
The fall in temperature, combined with run-off water from last night’s rain, will lead to the formation of icy stretches across the Isle of Wight.
The warning is in force for 12 hours from 22:00 tonight (Wednesday) until 10:00 tomorrow morning.
Islanders should be aware of both ice and invisible ‘black’ ice on roads and walkways, especially in more rural parts.
Let’s hope the Numpty drivers drive carefully and
STOP speeding in such hazardous driving conditions.
