Vibe Studio in Sandown is set to host a high-energy charity Spinathon next month, bringing together the Isle of Wight community for a full day of fitness in support of young people across the Island.
The event on Sunday 5th October will run from 08:00 to 16:00 at Vibe, located on Lake Industrial Way, with 8 back-to-back indoor cycling classes led by a dynamic line-up of instructors. Each session will offer a different style and vibe, encouraging participants of all abilities to get involved.
Funds raised on the day will go towards two local organisations that work closely with young people: the Isle of Wight Youth Trust and the Island Sports Alliance CIC. While the Youth Trust is a registered charity providing vital mental health support, the Island Sports Alliance is a community interest company focused on improving access to sport and physical activity.
Organisers say the Spinathon is a chance to come together as a community and turn energy into impact. Whether riding in one class or powering through all eight, everyone is invited to take part. Supporters can also cheer on participants or simply stop by to make a donation.
Dayna, Fundraising Co-ordinator at the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, has said:
“We are so grateful to Hannah and the team at Vibe IW for choosing to support the Isle of Wight Youth Trust through their upcoming Spinathon.
“Every penny raised will help us continue providing free, confidential, youth-led therapeutic support and wellbeing programmes. Alongside this, we are also helping young people gain the confidence, skills, and opportunities they need to move into work, training, and housing support – building brighter and more secure futures.
“We can’t wait to see the energy, spirit, and support fill the Vibe studio on 5th October – let’s turn the pedals into real change for our Island’s young people.”
Yvette, Co-founder of the Island Sports Alliance CIC, has said:
“We are beyond excited to be part of this amazing event! Getting people involved in sport and exercise from a young age is so important – that’s what we are here for! Life-long participation in sport and exercise is always the best way.
“What we do encourages teamwork, communication skills, friendships and a sense of belonging. In our eyes, exercise will always be the best medicine – so let’s bring on the 5th October!”
Vibe Studio has extended the invitation to anyone who wants to get involved, whether as a rider or a supporter. The team hopes to raise as much as possible on the day and is encouraging early sign-ups to guarantee a spot in one of the eight classes.
