The Royal Hotel in Ventnor has announced a blockbuster weekend of events in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this June.
The team at The Royal want Islanders and visitors alike to celebrate this momentous occasion in British history in style. 4 events have been announced over 3 days that are sure to whet the appetite.
Events include a Jubilee family day for children and adults to celebrate together with Jubilee-focussed craft sessions, soft play, family photographer and a Royal afternoon tea.
There will also be gala dinner celebrations and banquet lunches, not to mention a special nod to the Queen’s love of horses with ‘A Day At The Races’ where Islanders can enjoy the Epsom races on 70″ screens whilst sipping Champagne in luxury.

Except a lot of people have to work on the Friday as the 3rd is apparently not an “official” Bank Holiday, thanks to tight arse bosses who only have profits as a priority and not the staffs wellbeing at all. I guess MD’s are a higher authority than the queen who granted it and the government who agreed it.
