Police officers raided a property in Ventnor on Thursday, where significant amounts of evidence and drug-growing equipment was discovered according to local residents.
Intelligence led Hampshire Constabulary to an apartment on Madeira Road in the town, the occupants of which were arrested and taken to Newport Police Station for questioning.
According to witnesses, large amounts of drug-growing equipment was removed from the property alongside bags of evidence gathered by Police, believed to be cannabis.
Residents of nearby Spring Gardens were told by a Police officer that the property was a ‘drugs factory’.
Those arrested have been bailed by Police pending further enquiries.
