A fundraising quiz evening in aid of the Vectis Radio 4Ps Training School Charity was held at Newclose Cricket Club on Friday 19th April. The evening, which was sold out and had a waiting list, was one in a series of community fundraising quizzes held at Newclose and organised by Tracy Asher, raising over £470 for the 4Ps charity. On the success of the event, Tracy said:
“We enjoy running the quizzes to help local charities and community organisations. The people who attend love thinking hard for the answers as well as contributing to the much needed funds.”
Trustee, Maggie Currie, said: “I’d like to thank Tracy and her team for putting on such a great evening and helping us raise over £470. Every pound helps us put young people with additional needs through our 4Ps course which improves their confidence & communication skills and helps them be more productive members of society.” Besides the participants on the night who raised £420, the quiz is also available by email to those who prefer not to travel, an additional sum of over £50 arriving about a week later.
