The Vectis Historic Vehicle Club recently presented a donation to Beaulieu House following the club fundraising Open Day at Arreton Barns in July.
On presenting the cheque for £1,000, President Peter Hodgson said:
“Members of the Club all recognise the great work that Beaulieu House do for our Island community in respite care for children, to allow parents caring 24 hrs a day some time for themselves”.
The cheque was handed over to Beaulieu House’s Tony Wake on Saturday (23rd September).
Those at the presentation included Bill Rasmussen, Joe Kitney, Pete Hodgson, Mike and Dee Brackstone, Tim and Linda DeBues, Vickie Rasmussen, Jenny and Chris Belford, Luca Besozzi, Elijah Farr Bishop, Dawn Johnson, Kai Holmes, Rohan Hall, Donna Smith and Corrinne Beere, together with staff and children.
Tony Wake, Chairman of the charity Beaulieu Respite, said:
“Yet again I must thank the VHVC for this fantastic donation raised at their wonderful Open Day event at Arreton Barns. They have supported Beaulieu for many years now and to a small local charity like ours this makes a huge difference. Thank you all.”
