Every Wednesday residents at Vecta House Care Home enjoy a minibus outing to various locations on Isle Of Wight, their latest being to Monkey Haven.
At the Newport-based sanctuary, residents saw a number of different primates, owls, reptiles and meerkat’s and learnt new interesting facts about the animals, stopping at the park café at the end of the day for cream tea.

“It’s been a wonderful afternoon the park is beautiful and I enjoyed seeing the majestic Owls.”
Tanya Activities Coordinator at Vecta House said:
“It is so lovely to get the residents out and about in the community to experience new adventures and create new memories, It is heart-warming to see the smiles and enjoyment we help to create.”
