Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision on Bleak Down near Rookley this morning (Saturday).
Police have closed Niton Road between The Chequers Inn and Appleford Road as a result of a van crashing and coming to rest on its side.
It’s unclear at this stage if any injuries have been sustained and whether any other vehicles have been involved.
Motorists should avoid the area.
UPDATE – It’s been confirmed that the female driver of the van has sustained a shoulder injury.
Police say they were called at 07:40 to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Niton Road, at the junction with Appleford Road.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service attended the scene and have treated a woman for a non-life-threatening shoulder injury.
The road has now re-opened.

Van drivers feel safe high up in their cabin, but they are the most aggressive drivers on the island.
We all experience van drivers right up our ass every day, however, I don’t know the reason this accident happened and I hope the driver is ok..
