It was winners all round last Friday (29th September) as Newport-based Independent Financial Planners, Rouse Limited, hosted a spectacular raffle prize draw.
Raffle ticket sales and donations totalled over £12,700 and, with Rouse Limited matching this amount, more than £25,400 was raised for the vital Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA).
The raffle launched at the end of June to help raise much needed funds for the HIOWAA. The team at Rouse Limited chose HIOWAA as their headline charity for 2023 and worked tirelessly throughout the Summer to secure fabulous raffle prizes, sell raffle tickets and raise awareness of the crucial service provided by HIOWWA.
Lisa Butler of Rouse Limited said:
“We are delighted with the results of this fundraising raffle and would like to thank everyone for their wonderful support, by either buying a raffle ticket or 2, making one of the extraordinarily generous donations, or for donating one of the amazing prizes.
“We are particularly grateful to the volunteers, staff and clinical crew of HIOWWA for the service they provide to all of us. It has been a pleasure to have been able to support their work through this fundraiser. Not everyone won a prize in the raffle but we are all winners if this vital service is able to continue.”
Many people do not realise that, although working in partnership with University Hospital Southampton and South Central Ambulance Service, which are both NHS-funded, HIOWAA is a charity and relies entirely on donations to carry out their life-saving service.
It provides a critical service to seriously injured or ill people across the Island and Hampshire and delivers the same level of care you would expect from a major trauma unit. Incredibly, the Air Ambulance attends, on average, 6 missions a day, every day of the year, many of them life saving.
The prize winners have all been contacted.
