UNEMPLOYMENT on the Isle of Wight continues to fall according to figures released this morning.
Last month, 3,105 people on the Island were claiming Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), which is nearly 200 people less than in April of this year.
The Isle of Wight still has a higher percentage of unemployed compared to the South East of England though – 3.7% of 16 to 64 year olds on the Island are claiming JSA, compared with just 2.6% in the South East.
A positive sign for the Island, as the summer trade starts to pick up creating more jobs throughout the summer months.
