UKSA is looking for fundraisers to make the 100m descent of Portsmouth’s iconic landmark: Spinnaker Tower. Each brave fundraiser will experience an unrivalled view across Portsmouth Harbour, the Solent, and the Isle of Wight, as they abseil down the Spinnaker Tower on Saturday 18th May. Participants must be over 18 (or over 14 with a guardian present to sign consent) and can secure their place today with a £50 payment and a commitment to fundraise sponsorship of £200 for UKSA. Travel to Portsmouth is provided by Hovertravel, and each fundraiser will receive a medal of completion, a t-shirt, photograph at the top of the tower, and a Go-Pro video of their descent. UKSA Fundraiser Ashleigh said:
“We are super excited for this year’s abseil event and are looking for brave fundraisers to take on this incredible challenge whilst helping out a fantastic local cause. “UKSA inspires children and young people to broaden their horizons through its water-based adventures, education, and training for careers at sea. All funds raised will help UKSA to provide life-changing experiences to young people through its funded programmes.”
Anyone interested in attempting the abseil should visit bit.ly/UKSAFundraising to register.
