Barchester’s Orchard House care home, in Newport, got in the Christmas spirit by throwing Christmas parties for residents over 2 days.
Orchard House’s Christmas party was in full swing in all units, Memory lane and a joint party with Bluebell and the Valentine unit.
Fun was had with party games such as pass the parcel, stick the hat on the elf, Christmas bingo and Christmas songs playing with some residents even getting up to dance.
Residents enjoyed a feast of festive foods prepared by the home’s chef, Claire Daffern.
General Manager, Kim Fleming said:
“Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year and our fantastic residents love to get festive so we’ve pulled out all the stops. It is so lovely to see them all getting into the Christmas spirit, it’s definitely my favourite time of year.”
Malcolm, a resident at Orchard House said:
“It has been a lovely day. It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get into the Christmas spirit. I really enjoyed all the games and laughter we had.”

Like your parents Chris? I don’t doubt they rue the day they wasted thier genetic material on the unfortunate reproductive mutations that produced you.
I think it is terrible.
