Theatretrain Isle of Wight, the renowned performing arts company, is proud to announce its Nationwide Danceathon on 7th October 2023, an exciting event aimed at raising £100,000 in support of Theodora Children’s Charity.
Building upon the tremendous success of the 2018 Danceathon, where over £62,000 was raised, Theatretrain is committed to making an even greater impact this year.
The Theatretrain Nationwide Danceathon promises to be an extraordinary celebration of dance, unity, and the power of giving back. Participants of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds will join together across the nation to dance their hearts out, with all proceeds directly benefiting Theodora Children’s Charity.
Theodora Children’s Charity is a beacon of hope for thousands of sick and hospitalized children, using the power of laughter and play to brighten their lives during challenging times. Their team of Giggle Doctors visits children in hospitals, hospices, and specialist care centres, delivering much-needed smiles and laughter, providing emotional support, and promoting overall well-being. Every pound raised through the Danceathon will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these brave young souls.
The Founder and Artistic Director of Theatretrain, Kevin Dowsett, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating:
“We are incredibly excited about this year’s Nationwide Danceathon and the opportunity to support Theodora Children’s Charity. Our past achievements demonstrate the extraordinary impact of coming together through dance for a noble cause. With the goal of raising £100,000, we aim to create an even more significant positive change in the lives of these deserving children, and we know that together, we can make a difference.”
