Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal is set to visit the Isle of Wight later this month and again at the start of August, it has been revealed.
Princess Anne, who is a regular visitor to the Island, will be crossing the Solent on 26th July to carry out a number of engagements.
During her visit, Princess Anne will head to UKSA in Cowes where she will officially open a new 136-bed accommodation facility. Her last visit to the Arctic Road-based youth charity was in October 2020.
On the same day, Mountbatten Isle of Wight will welcome Her Royal Highness to their hospice at Halberry Lane in Newport where the hospice’s 45th anniversary will be marked.
A visit will also be undertaken to Cheetah Marine on the Esplanade in Ventnor.
Just over a week later, on 6th August, Princess Anne will return to the Isle of Wight to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Sailing Review at Osborne House. It’s understood that a ‘motor past’ fleet review will take place in Osborne Bay from 11:00.
It all comes just over a year since Princess Anne was last seen on the Island during a series of surprise engagements at the Royal Yacht Squadron, the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and Ryde School.
Further details are expected to be revealed closer to the time.

Well how lovely, NOT. Glad to say I won’t be going to observe any of the so called royals wafting around the island like a bad smell. Just remember people the cost of living crisis won’t bother any of this lot, they don’t need to worry how to pay the gas and electric bills, or how they will get to work because petrol and diesel is going up. I guess she will get free helicopter travel over here too. Like Boris Johnson (at the time of writing he is still PM), they should just go.
Well she could hardly rely on the ferries could she?
Why not, we all have to.
Sad, you are SUCH an unhappy person, never anything positive to say
I can and do when it is right to do so.
Brilliant news, Boris has resigned so he will be gone in a few months thank goodness. Best news for years!
All due to Bob Seely withdrawing his support for Boris.
Bob Seely must take 100% of the credit for getting rid of Johnson.
Bob Seely – the saviour of the free world.
Bob Seely – the man who makes the impossible possible.
Bob Seely for PM.
I’m off to take my medication to return me to the real world ….
Never mind Princess Anne, your island has a far more important visitor, Sir Digby Chicken Caesar. If anyone has an event that needs a Knight of the British Empire, Sir Digby is your man.
Excellent! I’m sure her visit will make all the difference. We’ll all be far better off for it…… apparently.
