The Isle of Wight’s Needles have been ranked as no6 in a list of the UK’s most ‘unforgettable’ natural landmarks. The list was compiled by holiday provider Explore Worldwide, which surveyed the UK’s natural wonders that have stuck in the memories of fellow explorers the most. Explore Worldwide analysed travel review data to find what percentage of reviews of natural landmarks use the words ‘unforgettable’ or ‘memorable’. The results were used to create a ranking of the top ten most unforgettable landmarks in the UK to visit. The top 6 natural wonders were:
- The Old Man of Storr, Scotland
- Giant’s Causeway, Nothern Ireland
- Loch Ness, Scotland
- Seven Sisters, England
- The Fairy Pools, Scotland
- The Needles, Isle of Wight
48% of reviews of the Needles described the landmark as ‘unforgettable’ or ‘memorable’. The Needles were ranked as England’s 2nd most ‘unforgettable’ natural attraction, behind the Seven Sisters in Sussex.

I really struggle how you two (Johnny Walker and Paul) wake up of a morning. I’ve flown over this landmark several times when coming back from The Canaries and it’s a great icon knowing that you’re on British soil again. Pair of idiots that have probably never been further than your front gates in life.
