Letter to the editor – 4th June 2022
“I was unfortunately involved in a minor RTA, in the square at Yarmouth. The rear bumper came away and dropped on the road.
“Within just a couple of minutes, a lady gave me about two metres of ribbon, and a gentleman a roll of silver masking tape. With the se two gifts, I was able to secure the bumper and catch the ferry to the mainland.
Article continues below this advertisement “The kindness and generosity will never ever be forgotten. I hope these kind people will read this, or somebody will tell them how grateful I was.
“My two French friends were astounded that unknown people could be so kind”.

The island ain’t all bad.
I am sure that 99% of us would have done the same.
Not like the mainland.
Correct – 100% would have done it on the mainland.
Tosh.
Most of them can’t even talk English.
More likely to mug you then help you.
