A 17-year-old teenager has been seriously injured this Morning following a smash on a motorcycle while playing around in a field.
It is believed the rider has suffered serious trauma to his head and is in a critical condition.
Crews from the Isle of Wight ambulance service were called to he scene in a field at Merstone shortly before 11:00.
The motorcycle rider has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport and is due to be airlifted to Southampton General for more specialist care.
