A new medical aesthetics and skin health clinic has opened in the heart of the Isle of Wight, with its founder, a former NHS nurse, inviting Isle of Wight residents to discover the treatments on offer at a special launch event next week.
Cala Medical Aesthetics, based at the Innovation Centre in St Cross Business Park, has been established by registered nurse Sally Sykes, who has many years of experience working within the NHS.
Following her nursing career, Sally completed master’s-level aesthetics training with Harley Academy before launching her own independent clinic, combining clinical care with personalised treatments and a focus on long-term skin health.
To celebrate the launch, Cala is holding a Skin Discovery Evening on Thursday (15th October), giving Islanders the opportunity to explore the new clinic, meet its founder and learn more about the treatments available.
The event, running from 17:00-19:00, will include a live demonstration of Tixel skin rejuvenation treatment at approximately 18:00, allowing visitors to see the procedure being carried out and learn how it works.
Experts from Tixel and professional skincare brand Medik8 will also be attending, offering guests the chance to ask questions about treatments, products and aftercare.
Refreshments, gift bags and special launch offers will also be available throughout the evening.
Sally Sykes, Owner and Founder of Cala Medical Aesthetics, has said:
“Cala Medical is something I’ve wanted to create for a long time. For me, it isn’t about encouraging people to have more treatments.
“It’s about properly understanding someone’s skin, what they actually want to achieve, and creating a considered, personalised plan around them.”
The clinic offers a range of aesthetic and skin health treatments, including Tixel skin resurfacing, dermal fillers, polynucleotide regenerative treatments, skin boosters, Profhilo and Profhilo Structura.
Other services include regenerative treatments for hair loss, Medik8 professional skincare and skin peels, as well as personalised LED and EMS facial treatments.
Among the newer additions is Prodefine Retouch from AQ Skin Solutions, a skin booster designed to improve the appearance of the skin and create a healthy-looking glow.
Cala is also introducing the Ultra Tesla Seat, providing a pelvic-floor treatment option for both women and men, subject to an individual suitability assessment.
A key part of Sally’s approach is ensuring that clients understand their options before deciding whether to proceed with treatment.
Consultations can include DermaLab skin analysis, helping to assess individual skin concerns and develop a personalised treatment plan combining in-clinic procedures, home skincare and follow-up appointments where appropriate.
The clinic also places an emphasis on discussing the limitations, possible side effects and aftercare requirements of each treatment.
The Skin Discovery Evening will take place at Cala Medical Aesthetics, Office J1A, Innovation Centre, St Cross Business Park in Newport on Thursday (15th October) from 17:00-19:00.
