UPDATED: TECHNICAL WOES CONTINUE FOR HOVERTRAVEL WITH SERVICE SUSPENDED AGAIN

Hovertravel’s Ryde to Southsea service has been hit by yet more technical issues this morning (Saturday), forcing the cancellation of crossings. It was only yesterday that the service was bought to a halt on 2 occasions – first thing in the morning and at lunchtime – due to undisclosed technical issues. Now, it has been confirmed that the service is out of action once again due to yet another issue arising with 1 of the Flyer craft. An update is expected at 09:15. In the meantime, tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service. UPDATE – Services have now resumed as of 09:15 from Ryde. UPDATE @ 15:15 – Another technical issue has brought Hovertravel’s service to a halt, again – the 2nd time today and the 4th time in 2 days. The next update is expected at 16:30. UPDATE @ 16:48 – Services are to resume at 17:20 from Ryde.
