The Isle of Wight’s 2nd Tattoo Convention was held at Quay Arts in Newport last weekend – and it was yet another great success.
Around 400 people are believed to have attended the event over the 2 days.
The convention was organised by Tom Wharton and Filip Pasieka of Boy Wonder Tattoo Studio in Nodehill, Newport.
Speaking about this year’s convention, Tom has said:
“We had more artists coming this year – 29 altogether – with many returning from last year. 3 Isle of Wight shops were represented at the convention.
“I was pleased with the attendance as we can only fit a maximum of 250 attendees into the galleries.
“It was not an ego convention – everyone enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and were happy to share.
“We’ll definitely be back here next year with more seminars and workshops.”

The more Tatts one has, their IQ is less!
TO intelligent? Spelling mistake? Obviously you are more intelligent than anyone with a tattoo? ” The more Tatt’s one has, their IQ is less!” ? Is this cause and effect? Does actually having a tattoo reduce your IQ? Also do you know what IQ stands for? Without Googling It?
Tattoos look great on sailors and criminals. In 30 or 40 years time, this lot will all be lumbering around care homes looking like screwed up newspapers.

I agree 110% what normal human being unless they are suffering from
Mental Health would put themselves through unnesseccary pain and
Scar themselves for life!
Their Doctors should help them, they need help and don’t realise it.
The worrying thing is that many of the persons who have been mutilated for life
now work for the NHS
Imagine the terrifying thought of an elderly patient waking from an operation
and being surrounded by persons who look they have been injured in a War Zone.
It shows the type of families they come from, usually
Social / Council Housing.
You wouldn’t see any Royals with Tattoo’s all over their bodies
or the likes of Prime Ministers
You do know Queen Victoria had tattoos right? Prince Albert…… well enough said about that one
