Officers descended on the Mill Street address shortly before 09:00 as part of their ongoing crackdown on the supply of drugs on the Isle of Wight.
An arrest was made as a result of the raid, with the unnamed male being detained on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of heroin and possessing a controlled Class A drug.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has said:
”Officers carried out a warrant this morning at an address in Mill Street, Newport.
“A 43-year-old man from Newport was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug of class A and being concerned in the supply of heroin.
“He remains in custody at this time”.
