The Sportsman’s Rest in Porchfield is set to come under new management from Wednesday (1st April), with David Pratt taking over the popular pub.
David, who is involved with Porchfield Cricket Club, will be stepping into the role alongside his family as they prepare to run the well-known local venue.
It has been confirmed that customers can expect a sense of continuity, with several existing members of staff remaining behind the bar as part of the transition.
The change in management will also see the departure of current landlord Nikki, who is being thanked for her contribution to the pub. Further details about her departure have not been provided.
Locals are being encouraged to visit and support the new team as they settle in, with a warm welcome anticipated for David and his family at the start of their new venture.
Pubs like the Sportsman, Travellers Rest, Highdown Inn etc will; always be up against it under normal circs, but with that idiot woman from Accounts as CoE, they are as good as finished.
