Firefighters from Ventnor have extinguished a small fire in the open at Whitwell this evening (Monday).
1 appliance was mobilised to Nettlecombe Lane at around 18:45.
The assistance of the water carrier was requested with the Ventnor resource soon arriving on scene.
Hose reel jets were used to douse the area of grass bank ahead of crews standing down by 19:30.
