SILLY SAUSAGE! VAN SMASHES INTO CAR PARK BARRIER IN NEWPORT

A delivery driver has been left red-faced after crashing into a barrier at Sainsbury’s supermarket in Newport this morning (Friday). The bright yellow barrier is in place to stop overheight vehicles from driving underneath the multi-storey car park off Foxes Road. Thankfully, the barrier did its job and stopped the Isle of Wight Meat Co. Mercedes-Benz delivery van in its tracks before it could become wedged. The incident, which happened at around 10:00, has caused damage to the barrier and damage to the refridgeration unit of the van.
