A shoplifter who stuffed goods down her trousers before leaving a clothing store without paying has been ordered to cough up by the courts.
Lorelei Fisher, 20, of Forest Way in Winford, admitted a single charge of theft from a shop when she appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court earlier this week (Tuesday).
Prosecuting via video link, Abbie Winters, told the court that on the 6th March, Fisher and another spent around 2.5 hours in TK Maxx in Newport.
The court heard how Fisher placed several items down her trousers before leaving the store without paying.
Items stolen included mens essentials, watches and boxed jewellery to the value of £61.96.
Defending, Fisher, Oscar Vincent, told the court that Fisher was currently on licence but hadn’t been recalled to the prison and that the offending in this instance was ‘unsophisticated’ and that Fisher wasn’t intending to steal but was somewhat ‘pressured’ into it.
Fisher has 15 convictions on her record for a total of 45 offences.
Magistrates told Fisher that their ‘patience is running out’ before telling Fisher that this is her ‘last chance’.
Fisher was ordered to pay compensation of £61.96 to TK Maxx.
