Shanklin Bowls Club celebrated a successful season on and off the field, with the Club President’s fundraising campaign, concluding with an end-of-season charity cheque presentation to Ella Rollason from the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
Bowls Club President, Malcolm Alder-Smith said:
“We are privileged to have been able to help the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust and are thrilled that youngsters will benefit from our donation of £2,758.70 from my President’s Charity for 2022-23.”

Ella said:
“We are thrilled at the amount raised by Shanklin Bowls Club, and the donation will make a real difference in supporting 8-24 year olds in recovery from cancer.”
The money raised would pay for a 5-day sailing trip for 4 youngsters, as well as up to 6 yacht sailing trips, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust also provide canal trips for disabled youngsters, as well as adventure trips.
The Trust is also planning more relaxed breaks for those unable to undertake the existing trips.
