Robert SeelyIsle of Wight MP Bob Seely has written of his intention to present a Bill in Parliament to strip the Sussexes of their Duke and Duchess titles in the Daily Mail. This follows the naming of the ‘racist’ Royals in the Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s new book ‘Endgame’. The Royals were alleged to have questioned the skin colour of the Sussex’s unborn child. Sources close to the Sussexes have claimed Harry and Megan are not behind the book’s incendiary claims. However, Bob Seely has stated: “I suspect few people believe such denials.” Seely’s Titles Deprivation 1917 Act Amendment Bill would allow a vote in Parliament to advise the Privy Council to strip a member of the Royal family of their titles. Bob has said:
“If someone doesn’t want to be Royal, that is a decision we respect – but they should not keep the titles and privileges if they trash an institution that plays an important part in our nation’s life. “The sooner the Duke and Duchess become just Mr and Mrs Sussex, the better for all of us.”
