Islanders are being encouraged to attend the Isle of Wight Law Courts’ Open Day this Saturday (28th September) to see how justice really works.
The Isle of Wight Combined Court Centre will be welcoming all ages to learn more about the justice system, tour the cells and even meet local Police dogs during the Isle of Wight Courts Open Day on Saturday 28th September, between 10:00-16:00.
It’s a rare chance to take a glimpse into what goes on at the Magistrates Court and the Crown Court.
His Honour Judge Michael Bowes KC, Resident Judge for the Isle of Wight, says:
“The Judges, the Court team and all our Exhibitors look forward to welcoming you to our Open Day.
“Come and see what we all do to make Justice work – see our courts in action for mock trials, meet police dogs, tour the cells, see a police forensics unit and learn about the Devil and the Law.
“All ages are welcome- we have an art competition for children and an activity sheet to complete with prizes”.
I think we know what goes on
