UPDATED: A search is tonight (Tuesday) underway in the Niton area for a missing 11-year-old boy.
Police officers have been joined by members of the public in the search for the youngster, who is thought to have been missing since around 17:00.
The National Police Air Service helicopter has also been tasked to the area, alongside the Island’s volunteer search and rescue team, WightSAR.
UPDATE @ 22:40 – The missing boy has been found safe and well by members of the public tonight, according to Police.
Ventnor Coastguard were also tasked to the incident.
