A toasty 34.7c was recorded in Binstead yesterday (Tuesday) on what was by far the hottest day of the year thus far. Local weather forecaster IW Met Service recorded plus-34c temperatures in no less than 4 Island areas. The 2nd hottest temperature was recorded in Wootton (34.4c) with the weather in Shide equally as warm. Further warm spots were seen in Cowes and Nettlestone. The coolest temperature – if you could even call it that – was a ‘chilly’ 27c recorded in Ventnor. Beaches across the Island were rammed with those enjoying the weather yesterday with crowds gathering in the evening sun to watch HMS Queen Elizabeth perform a ceremonial gun salute off the coast of Cowes. Hot weather is set to continue for the next few days, so further record temperatures could well be seen later this week.

Don’t worry everyone, it’s all fake. They are making you think it’s too hot and that the last twenty years were the hottest on record just to push the climate change lie. It’s really 25c. I should know my mate down the pub told me everything. Don’t listen to them pesky scientists that have studied the climate all their life, they know nothing. Anyways it’s the sun, not us or could just be that we’re colder than we should be the earth was hotter in the past. So don’t listen to ‘them’, keep burning stuff! Yay burn stuff, I love burning stuff because I’m still like a 52 going on 12. Broom broom….
[this is call sarcasm for the low IQ out there]
hottest on record – the key word there is record. The planet has been around for billions of years already, however, human records of temperature aren’t even a fraction of that time.
it was hotter and higher CO2 in the atmosphere during the time of the dinosaurs – yet they weren’t driving gas guzzlers.
climate scientists are dressed up weather forecasters and weather forecasters struggle to get the weather right for the next week, let alone what the temperature will be in 50 years from today.
the climate doomsters jump on every bit of sunshine to proclaim more doom, yet it rains and gets cold each year, just as it has done for millenia.
I’m not so sure about the sarcasm. Sounds like your mate down the pub is pretty clued up.
I’ve taken my tin foil skirt off and lubed up with peanut oil, it’s totally tropical
My mate down the beach says it’s Chico time Fred
I’m pretty sure it’s the fault of the Tories – I think you missed a trick there.
By the way, it’s NOT the hottest day ever, it’s NOT some sort of record, it’s NOT something you can blame on climate change or whatever. It’s simply the ‘hottest day of the year thus far’. But then, it IS the first day of August and, yes, it’s EXPECTED to be the hottest day of the year around this time because this is, traditionally, SUMMERTIME.
But, keep taking the tablets. Maybe nurse could up your dose a bit?
