UPDATED: Adverse weather has resulted in the suspension of Hovertravel’s cross-Solent service this morning (Saturday).
The decision has been made to halt all crossings between Ryde and Southsea until further notice.
It comes following almost an entire day of cancellations for the travel operator yesterday as strong gusts battered the Island.
An update is expected at 08:15.
UPDATE @ 11:27 – Services remain suspended this morning. The next update will be at 11:45.
All other cross-Solent services are running to timetable.
UPDATE @ 11:50 – Hovertravel have now resumed a normal timetabled service.
