A woodland area in Ryde has been cordoned off and an investigation is underway following the discovery of a man’s body this morning (Monday). Police were called at around 11:10 following reports of an unexpected death in St John’s Park between West Hill Road and East Hill Road. Several resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were also called to the scene. Both entrances to the park on either of the 2 roads are currently taped off, with officers standing guard. A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson has said:
“A man in his 50s was confirmed deceased at the scene, and work is ongoing to alert his next of kin. “An investigation is currently underway and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

so sorry for our brilliant emergency services and for the gentleman family and friends.
How very sad. Condolences to the family and friends
Second death in the same park in a matter of weeks. Rest in paradise ❤️
This used to be a pleasant short cut for me, a patch of trees and wildlife. But this is the second recent suicide there.
Your point being?
Suicide? How do we know this?
