It’s Southern Vectis’ fault! If those buses weren’t on the road traffic would be better!
Thick islander
What by adding more cars to the road? How does that work ?
They are driving here like total idiots fast and furious maniacs endangering everyone.. but that’s everywhere.. humans
I wonder if it was the same guy that overtook us, narrowly missing crashing into the centre island by GKN… 🙁
Rest In peace ✌We are thinking about you
Speeding is rife on this road, speed camera’s are required.
It’s not speeding
The motorcyclist could of hit something in the road or diesel spill or gravel hope he’s ok
He wasn’t speeding and maybe before making judgment comments. (Think if it was your family member.!! )
…. Me and another gentleman was there on scene with him . I called ambulance and police ..
Two other gentle men were helping with traffics . His bike wasn’t far from we’re he landing …
Hope he recovers well .. my heart goes out to him and his wife who sadly got a phone call no wife wants
I blame the van driver….
I’ve seen the bike. Looks very much like the one I mentioned above. Yes, there’s no doubt more than one of these on the road.I’m not saying this is the case here, but drive like an idiot, you’re going to end up a cropper.Reminds me of the famous Clint Eastwood saying….’are you feeling lucky, punk’ ?
Like most days lately – when driving towards Folly Lane a car abruptly pulled out in front of mine causing me to have to brake so as not to go into the back of it.
Then drove 25 mph all the way to racecourse roudabout.
I hope you enjoyed those beers during lunch. The rest of us are suffering your bad decisions and are having to drive defensively thanks to behaviour like this!
Folly Lane is a death trap!
Its not about speed but bad decisions!
Wishing the motorcyclist and all involved a quick recovery.
Not all motorcyclists are idiots, this one certainly isn’t. I’ve seen him many times on my way home from work and have never seen anything idiotic about his riding style whatsoever.
There is a stretch of water down the hill that can be dangerous to motorcyclists and I’ve seen it happen there before so maybe that’s what caused it.
If he’d been like a lot of other riders that choose not to wear full leathers, or any full stop, he’d be in a much worse situation than he probably is right now
I hope he makes a speedy recovery
Never driven this bit of road before so popped over this afternoon give it a try.Love the bit from racecourse roundabout to whippingham but shi%e from there to Waitrose. So much traffic could not get up to a ton but did manage80 on the straight. Will try again late one evening hopefully should get a ton twenty when it is quieter.
By the way all you muppets driving so fast and crashing have pushed my insurance up so high that I am now not renewing it.Risk it for a biscuit saving me£585 a year.
