Police have closed Mill Street in the centre of Newport this evening (Wednesday) as a result of a road traffic collision.
Officers are currently in attendance alongside paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
The incident has occurred close to the junction with Old Westminster Lane, between Foxes Road and Crocker Street.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured.
The road is currently closed to motorists whilst the incident is dealt with and the scene cleared.
UPDATE – It has been confirmed that the incident involved a Jeep and a Renault Megane, with the Renault driver sustaining minor injuries.
The road has since re-opened.
