Isle of Wight ferry operator Red Funnel welcomed 2 VIPs – very im’paw’tant pooches – onboard the Red Osprey as they headed to the annual Crufts dog show at NEC, Birmingham.
As part of the cross-Solent ferry company’s Island Ambassador programme Red Funnel is proud to support owner Julie Platt and her team of 9 working Siberian Huskies with sponsored travel.
Julie qualified both the beautiful Lacey (2 years old) and Maddie (7 months) for Crufts 2023, where they competed in their age-relevant Siberian Husky Class as part of the Working Group. As many as 188 Siberian Huskies attended this year’s show making for stiff competition.
Outside of the show ring, both Lacey and Maddie are working dogs, competing in sled racing up and down the country – but beloved pets first.
