Shanklin-based Gatten and Lake Childcare has regained its ‘Good’ rating, just 6 months after it was rated ‘Inadequate’ by Ofsted inspectors. As previously reported by Island Echo, the Bay-based educational facility was graded ‘inadequate’ following a visit from inspectors back in February. Before the inspection, the preschool had previously been graded as ‘Outstanding’. However, Gatten and Lake Childcare has now confirmed that following a re-inspection on the 18th June, they have been re-graded as ‘Good’. Tracy and Janette, who run the pre-school, have said:
“This was a team effort and we thank our dedicated and hard-working staff. “We want to thank all the parents for their continued support and kind comments.

Wonderful news…well done to you all.
