Tonight’s much-anticipated Thermohome NORA British 500cc Individual Speedway Championship at Smallbrook has been cancelled due to the weather.
With a lot of water on the track from the weekend’s rainfall, and more expected today, the decision has been made early to prevent riders and fans alike travelling unnecessarily.
Promotors are looking to see if a re-staging date can be arranged.
It’s not the end of speedway racing at Smallbrook though, as next Tuesday the Wightlink Warriors take on the Thurrock Hammers with a 19:00 start.
