A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs following a raid on a property in Ryde this morning (Wednesday).
Police arrived on East Hill Road shortly before 08:30 and forced entry to a flat, surprising the occupant inside.
Today’s action is the latest in Hampshire Constabulary’s crackdown on the supply of Class A and B drugs within the local community.
Earlier this week officers conducted 2 raids in nearby Oakfield, arresting 3 individuals including a 14-year-old girl.
Taking to Isle of Wight Police’s official Facebook Page, Sgt Winchester has said:
“Whilst maintaining our core response policing role, C Shift has acted on lots of the things you have told us about – we just can’t always spill the beans on social media!”
