Pubs across the Isle of Wight will be allowed to stay open until 01:00 in the morning as part of the extended Bank Holiday celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Government has confirmed that the licencing extension will allow establishments to stay open for an extra 2 hours on Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June 2022.
Islanders will be able to celebrate the longest-reigning monarch to serve the United Kingdom across the 3 days beyond the usual 23:00 cut off.
With COVID restrictions lifted and hopes of a hot and sunny summer, the 4-day Jubilee weekend – which gets underway with an extra Bank Holiday on the Thursday – is set to be a busy one on the Isle of Wight.
Street parties are being planned in towns and villages across the Island, whilst nationally a live concert involving some of the biggest stars will be held alongside other events such as a Pageant outside Buckingham Palance.
