A house for sale on the landslide-hit Leeson Road in Ventnor is listed on the local property market with a guide price of just £10.
As previously reported by Island Echo, homeowners in the area were forced to evacuate their houses when what is one of the largest landslides to grace the South of England hit back in December 2023.
The 2-bed property has been vacant ever since, with it now being brought to the market earlier this week (4th September).
No in-person viewings can be held due to the safety concerns. The auctioneers have not inspected the property either.
First for Auctions, who are marketing the property, state that there is only ‘minor’ structural damage to the property, with houses further up road – in the direction of Cowleaze Hill – bearing the brunt of the events of 10th December.
Those looking to purchase the property can do via online auction on Friday 27th September. The auction is for cash buyers only. All bidders/potential buyers are required to register ahead of the auction date to be able to bid/buy, please visit our website to setup an online auction account.
Leeson Road was closed in both directions until earlier this summer. It is to close again though, to allow for the drilling of boreholes on site, tomorrow evening (Sunday).
