Students from Priory School entertained with their rendition of the famous and much-loved fairy-tale, Cinderella, performed at Quay Arts Centre recently.
Nearly 70 children were involved both on stage and backstage.
The lead role of Cinderella was played by Evie, with Lydia in the role of Prince Charming, both were ably supported by actors aged 5-16 in roles as varied as mice, cats, Barons, 2 Ugly Sisters and “local yokel” villagers.
The hilarious script was written by Sarah and Emily Scotcher.
The director, Mr. Lynch, said:
“This year I wanted to spread joy. And what better way than with a thigh-slapping, groaning joke-filled, villain-booing, hero-cheering panto.
“The commitment and humour of the children was an absolute joy and the performance was enjoyed by all. We are now ready for Christmas!”
