More than 600 homes are without power in the Shanklin area tonight (Friday) owing to a fault on the electricity network.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) says that a total of 64 postcode areas in the vicinity of Shanklin and Luccombe are affected by this outage.
Engineers are aware of the problem, which occurred at around 22:53, and are working to restore supplies as soon as possible.
It is currently estimated that properties will remain in the dark until 03:00 tomorrow morning.
