UPDATED: Homes and businesses in parts of St Helens and Bembridge are without power this morning (Sunday) due to a network fault.
At around 06:50 electricity was cut to around 2,700 properties in 100 postcode areas, primarily PO33 1 and PO35 5.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks say engineers are aware of the problem and aim to have power restored by 09:00.

UPDATE @ 08:00 – Power has been restored to some properties in the East Wight, however 36 postcode areas remain without supply this morning.
UPDATE @ 09:15 – The majority of the 2,700 properties initially affected by the power cut have had supplies restored.
Just 10 postcode areas in PO35 5 remain without electricity this morning. Power is expected to be restored by midday.
UPDATE @ 20:30 – Following a day of continued disruption, SSEN say they have restored power to all affected properties.
