A power cut has hit homes on Pan Estate in Newport this evening (Monday).
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks say they are aware of the problem and engineers are working to restore power as soon as possible.
Supply was lost to 11 postcode areas in PO3O 2 at just gone 19:00.
It is hoped that electricity will be restored to all affected properties by 22:00 tonight.

No breaking down can’t keep up with demand so power shedding occurs
So many up there growing, using lamps in lofts, underground and in sheds, garages etc. Overloads the system.
If there isn’t enough energy to go around now, just wait until Pennyfeathers is filled, along with the other huge building estates planned for the Island.
More power cuts as we have too many people both here and moving to the UK all taking limited resources.
Probably just haven’t paid their electricity bill due to universal credit being delayed…
